Christine and the queen of cats

A remarkable cultural exchange is initianting between the "cat-head municipality and a prominent Chinese artist.
In Germany she is not yet known so well - the Chinese artist Ms. Gu Yingzhi. However in her home country over and above she is well known as an outstanding painter. Her speciality are cats in all varieties. More than 1000 drawings and images of these feline grace domestic animal she did.

Her works are found at Chinese and foreign museum and galleries. Even Deng Xiaoping has let paint her "Five Cats with Butterflies" for his office formerly. And because Ms. Gu Yingzhi's cat portraits have been given to other foreign chiefs of government as official gift of the far and fascinating country, the cat paintings decorate offices of some foreign countries.

Maybe the Chinese cats could as well conquer Germany soon. The reason: the graceful and charming cat portraits appealed to the Sommerach artist Christine Dumbsky, when she has been attending a highly noticed exhibition, which took place at Tianjin. Here Christine Dumbsky came to know about Gu Yinzhi's reputation in the "country of the dragon", where she has been given the name "queen of cats".

Throughout the exhibit in China both painters got to know each other and the artists from Sommerach recognised the favour of the hour. "The idea was clear and plain to see for me", said Christine Dumbsky, "cat-head and queen of cats fit together just perfect". Christine took the cat off the sack: with her luggage she had some Bocksbeutel (bottles of wine) as guest gifts from the Winzerkeller Sommerach.

With a glass of "Katzenkopf" (cat head wine) Christine had the idea to put up one of the cat heads of the Chinese expert of cats on a lable of a wine bottle of the Sommerach posh wines.
The artist from the middle kingdom donated one of her cat paintings to the artist from the country of wine. This painting now found a place at the Sommerach Winzerkeller, where the director Eugen Preißinger sees a basis of a possible creative co-operation with the Chinese cat painter. He may imagine, that Ms. Yingzhi could do a kind of logo with a stylized cat head for a wine lable in the future. This would contribute an exclusive and exotic breath to the lable design.

Meanwhile the contacts do remain through the Internet. By the way the cultural exchange between Sommerach and China is not a one way road. Where Christine's erotic works did already inspire her Chinese painter colleague to do her first erotic artwork - a small culture revolution for the "Queen of Cats".
